Plan your 2021: Remote work and online business tips

Commercial Law Forum 04 December, 2020

Emma Heuston, Principal, The Remote Expert

01:00PM to 02:00PM

This event has now closed for booking.

The Forum will discuss:
  1. A few definitions — what is remote work and what are the different types (eg, all remote, all in office or hybrid (ie, some remote and some in office).
  2. Focus on why hybrid arrangements are challenging, but how it looks like it will be something we are all juggling in 2021 and beyond.
  3. How to manage hybrid arrangements in terms of technology, workplace culture, supervision of team members and team engagement.
  4. Moving outside the internal team structure to online business tips — how do you manage an online client experience well?

Please note that the webinar link will be sent out closer to the day.
Emma Heuston, Principal, The Remote Expert
Emma is a lawyer, founder and director of virtual law firm The Remote Expert and author of the best-selling book about remote work, The Tracksuit Economy. In 2011, Emma was on the
traditional lawyer corporate path at a boutique firm on the North Shore of Sydney. But a near death experience changed her views on work/life balance and led her to realise that life is way too short not to follow your passion. Emma's passion led her to a sea change in far Northern New South Wales in late 2013, where she has lived with her young family since and been both a remote employee and now employer of a remote team. Emma won the Lawyers Weekly ‘Thought Leader of the Year’ Award in 2018 and since then has led discussions and facilitated panels around remote and hybrid work models and how to run virtual firms.
